Projects: Chimney dismantling, Westerwald

Schornsteinrückbau Westerwald, Industrieschornstein in Beräumen von Kühlturm-Tassenboden

Structure: Industrial chimney incl. flue gas duct
Project time frame:
from July 2024 until September 2024
Description: Dismantling an industrial chimney and the flue gas duct with our special equipment

The MB Spezialabbruch team is visiting the beautiful Westerwald region to dismantle a decommissioned industrial chimney and flue gas system.

Our specially designed demolition concept forms the basis for the selective demolition of the approx. 50 m high free-standing, brick chimney in this project. Carrying out the work with low emissions is key in this case, so that as little dust as possible is released during the demolition work. In addition to the actual demolition work, our tasks also include the disposal of the demolition materials. We have also developed a disposal concept for this and, in addition to proper and safe dismantling, will also be ensuring the transportation and disposal of all accumulated materials.

Before the chimney dismantling in Westerwald begins, a 2-day training course for working in areas at risk of falling in accordance with DGUV 112-198 (safe use of PPE against falls from a height) and DGUV 112-199 (rescuing from heights and depths with personal fall protection equipment) was held for our team on site in parallel with the ongoing work.
